Description

Wire Works Whisky from White Peak Distillery is Derbyshire's very first Single Malt. Commissioned in early 2018 with the first distillation taking place in April that year, it wasn't until February 2022 when their first Wire Works Whisky was released. The "Wire Works" name comes from the sight of the distillery, as it's built on the former Johnson & Nephew wire works on the banks of the river Derwent. This lightly peated English Single Malt is matured exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill Distillery, Kentucky. It is non-chill filtered and natural in color, and is the second permanent expression in the Wire Works core range.
