Description
An English whisky distillery founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife team, Max & Claire Vaughan, and the first of its kind to be located in Derbyshire. It produces both peated and non-peated single malt which is bottled under the Wire Works brand name in homage to the history of the distillery building. This Wire Works Rum Cask Finish is a dual maturation of their lightly-peated spirit, initially aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for approximately two years in their very own fresh rum casks. This process ensures full Derbyshire provenance, with the whisky bursting with tropical fruits complemented by the distillery's signature background smoke. It is a limited release of 558 bottles.
