Description

This is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky from Wolfburn, released to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Mey Highland Games in 2020. The event was unfortunately postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the 'Postponed' label on the bottle. Crafted from spirit matured for six years in a combination of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon Hogsheads (casks 245 and 465), only 550 bottles were produced. It was bottled in 2020 at 46% ABV, free from chill filtration and artificial coloring.

Nose
Glorious sherry tones are overlaid with hints of honey and demerara sugar. There's a promising depth of aromas, fruit and flowers and sweetness. Light and fresh with barley, lemon, pear, and peach. A hint of meatiness.
Palate
Rich, oily, and creamy flavours lead the way; a bountiful mouthful. Sweet and fruity with vanilla, caramel, honey, lavender, barley, pear, apple, and peach.
Finish
Floral flavours gradually melt away, leaving the sweetest tones to the very end. Medium length, with lingering sweetness of vanilla and pear.
