Description
Situated on Scotland's rugged north coast, the Wolfburn distillery was first established in 1821, rapidly becoming the largest distillery in the Caithness area. The purchase of the land was finalised in May 2012 and the first ground was broken on the new site just a few months later. The new Wolfburn distillery building is just a short walk along the burn from the old site towards the sea. The Wolfburn Small Batch No. 375 is the third release in the distillery's Small Batch series. It is an unpeated single malt matured for around four years in a combination of half-size (100 litre) first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads. This limited edition release consists of 5,500 bottles, bottled at 46% ABV, and is non-chill filtered with natural color. It offers a rich and complex flavor profile with a beautifully sweet and aromatic nose and a lingering finish.
