Description

Situated on Scotland's rugged north coast, the Wolfburn distillery was first established in 1821. The new Wolfburn distillery building is just a short walk along the burn from the old site towards the sea. This is the 9th release in Wolfburn's Kylver Series, named after a burial stone featuring the Viking runic alphabet, with each whisky named after a different letter. This limited edition, Hagalaz, was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2022, matured for seven years in a combination of a first-fill dark Caribbean rum barrel and two first-fill American oak bourbon barrels. Only 800 bottles were released.
