Description

A Malt whisky distillery in the northerly reaches of Scotland's Highland region. It was established in 2013 and was constructed upon the same site that the original Wolfburn distillery had stood in the early 19th century. The name is derived from the nearby water source. This limited edition single malt from Wolfburn was released to celebrate Chinese New Year 2021, the Year of the Ox.

Nose
There's a beautiful mix of sherry aromas, overlaid with autumn fruits, and a hint of sugary coffee and dark chocolate.
Palate
The flavours are rich. Overtones of spice and vanilla. Fruity sweetness coats the palate, with just a trace of dates, raisins and nut flavours leading to a warm, soft finish.
Finish
The finish is long-lasting and pleasantly soft. Sweetness and sherry remain after drinking, with vanilla notes gently fading away and a lovely trace of caramel.
