Description

A Malt whisky distillery in the northerly reaches of Scotland's Highland region. It was established in 2013 and was constructed upon the same site that the original Wolfburn distillery had stood in the early 19th century. The name is derived from the nearby water source. This is a special 2022 limited release to celebrate the Chinese New Year, Year of the Tiger.

Nose
Initially smoky with hints of fruit and fresh sea air, accompanied by vanilla and oak woodshavings.
Palate
Floral notes abound, followed by raisins and light spices. Malty flavours open up with soft honey sweetness, hazelnuts, and stewed, spiced fruits with syrupy sponge cake, before elegant whispers of peat smoke creep in.
Finish
Soft honey sweetness and peaty tones ensure a smooth and lingering finish, with chewy toffee and burnt sugar keeping things sweet as the peat tails off delicately.
