Description

Woven Experience N.9, also known as 'The Elixir of Leith', is a blended Scotch whisky created by Woven, a blending studio located in Leith, Scotland. This expression pays homage to the lost blends of Leith and is inspired by the vibrant, creative melting pot of the region. It is composed of a 5-year-old Campbeltown Superblend, old grain whisky from Loch Lomond Distillery, sherry-finished single malt from Glentauchers Distillery in Speyside, and younger grain whisky from Loch Lomond via Holyrood Distillery. The blend aims for a vibrant profile with contrasts, citrus, and depth, offering notes of spice and tropical fruits.

Nose
Floral and citrusy with lively hints of lime, grapefruit, pineapple, banana, barley sugar, honeycomb, orange blossom, and cashew nuts. Also notes of pencil shavings, popcorn, shredded wheat, applesauce, pear drop, vanilla syrup, oil paints, buttered toast, milk chocolate, and cherry.
Palate
Light but full of flavor, with pear drop, roasted agave, peaches, limes, tangerines, barley sugar, dextrose, honey, golden raisins, and waxy notes. Sweet and mild, with some spice and a growing fruitiness.
Finish
Short to medium length, sweet, with pear cider, mead, citrus, honeyed breakfast cereals, and a zesty, slightly dry and bitter lemon character.
