Nose
Deep cooked fruits of plums, figs, cherries, and raspberries, with rich dark scents of mulled wine, leather, tobacco leaves, cacao nibs, and coffee powder. Hints of raspberry jam, lacquered wood, burnt caramel, old dark rum, and sweet licorice.
Palate
Powerful, bold, and deeply sherried with cooked fruits, raspberry jam, mulled wine, tobacco, cacao nibs, and coffee candy. Sweeter notes of port, chocolate sauce, molasses, red berries, currants, and hawthorns. Drying chocolate, cherries, marzipan plums, cocoa powder, nutmeg, and allspice.
Finish
Lingering raspberry jams and sweetness, with a gentle rancio note evolving into a Cognac quality. A deep, long warmth with a slight farmhouse funkiness and a final touch of leather.
