Description

Founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii, Yamazaki is Japan's first and oldest bona fide whisky distillery, located in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, near Kyoto. This Yamazaki Single Malt is a non-age statement (NAS) expression, renowned for its refined, multi-layered flavor. It is crafted from 100% malted barley and matured in a combination of American, Spanish (Sherry), and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, contributing to its complex and harmonious profile. The distillery's location, with its pure, soft water and misty climate, provides ideal conditions for whisky maturation.
