Nose
Honey sweet with hints of white peach and mango, followed by creamy dark toffee, vanilla and cedar wood, then subtle oil of wintergreen and notes of singed sage and liquorice root. Also antique oak, honeyed smoke, and sea spray, with delicate layers of candied citrus, vanilla pod, and polished leather.
Palate
Zesty and sweet with orange and tropical fruit, mouth coating initially then moving to mouth drying. Complex notes of dark chocolate, toffee, rich peat smoke, dried apricot, oak spice and subtle maritime salinity, with an intricate balance of peat embers, dried mango, heather, salted caramel, whispers of iodine and maritime breeze. Mellow medicinal smoke, softened by age, as well as liquorice, cedar, toffee and honeycomb.
Finish
Warm and lingering, bringing out the peat in the mouth and the salt on the lips. Exceptionally long, with soft waves of smoke, oak, and delicate sweetness lingering beautifully, and aged oak warmth.
