Ardmore 23 Year Old, Oak Cask, Cask #1183, 1977, Signatory Vintage, 58.1%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

82 / 100

The lemon and apple give the peat some brightness, but the peppery, slightly rough palate sounds more forceful than easygoing. I’d expect a lively Highland malt rather than a soft, gentle one.
