Balblair Vintage 2005 11 Year Old, American Oak Ex-Bourbon Cask, 2016, 46%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

86 / 100

This points to a fairly rich whisky, with toffee, vanilla and honey at the centre. The orchard citrus and drying wood seem to keep that sweetness from feeling too heavy, which makes for a balanced character.
