At 53% ABV, this Texas single malt has a clear, substantial bottling strength, while its described palate stays rounded with mellow mid-palate notes. Banana bread, honey and vanilla lead toward cinnamon, pears and toasted malt, then darker fruit and molasses. I like that shift from orchard fruit to richer sweetness. The warm, drying finish keeps woody spice and toasted malt in view.
