Benromach Origins Golden Promise 8 Year Old, Sherry Cask, Batch No. 5, 2013, 50%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

86 / 100

Smoke is clear on the palate and lingers, while the nose stays subtle. Apple and dark fruit give it another direction. That contrast is appealing, though this is more than a barely smoky dram.
