Booker's Master Distiller's Batch No. 7 Year Old, Batch No. 2024-03, 2024, 65.2%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

The dark fruit and cherry pie notes give this bourbon a vivid opening, while brown sugar and vanilla bring a rounded sweetness. Toasted oak and spice add definition, with smoky spice carrying that bolder character onto the palate. The long, warm, chocolatey finish sounds especially appealing; this is a richly weighted direction rather than the bright freshness I often favour, but the flavour relationships are clearly drawn and compelling.
