The balance of tropical fruit and coastal peat gives this Bowmore a clear point of interest: mango and passion fruit meet brine, lemon and ash rather than simply leaning sweet. The finish is described as rather long, with fruit and sweetness carrying through alongside white pepper and peat. That measured persistence sounds like a real strength here. There are plenty of contrasting notes, so this seems more layered than straightforward, though the sweeter vanilla and coconut near the palate’s end keep the peat from defining the whole picture.
