Bunnahabhain Hand-Filled Exclusive 11 Year Old, Canasta Sherry Cask, Cask #2735, 2025, 60.9%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

89 / 100

The appeal here is the balance between rounded sweetness and a clear thread of spice. Maple syrup, figs and poached pears give the palate a rich, fruit-led direction, while cinnamon and clove on the nose keep it from reading as sweetness alone. The gentle orange note adds a lighter accent, and the finish stays with brown sugar, apple and vanilla custard. A coherent, warmly weighted sherry-cask character, with enough contrast to keep the details distinct.
