Chivas Regal The Chivas Brothers 25 Year Club 25 Year Old, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The appeal here is the balance between generous dried fruit and quieter toasted oak. Fig and raisin carry through from the nose to the palate, while orange zest, almond and gentle spice give the darker chocolate and toffee some lift. The finish keeps that same measured character, with oak, cocoa and warming spice rather than a sudden change of direction. For a blended whisky, this sounds composed and richly detailed without relying on age alone to make the case.
