Dark Arts Whiskey House 14 Year Old, Double Oaked Cask, Batch No. TWRM3, Dark Arts Whiskey House, 54.6%

88 / 100

The appeal here is the contrast: rye spice gives the tropical fruit and vanilla cream a sharper edge, while restrained oak keeps the palate balanced. The nose’s pineapple, citrus zest and mango point toward a lively fruit character, rather than a spice-led profile. I like that the spice stays present through the finish as the fruit becomes more prominent. A good fit for someone who wants rye’s defining spice alongside a generous fruit-and-vanilla side.
