Sweet smoke alongside vanilla and butterscotch gives this peated single malt a playful push and pull: there’s softness up front, then malty weight, spice and peat smoke on the palate. That contrast sounds more interesting to me than a one-note smoke-led dram, and the very long, vanilla-fudge finish adds a welcome sweet thread. The SGD 112.15 sale-price reference is worth keeping in view, but it doesn’t settle whether the bottle’s the right fit; the character is the more compelling part here.
