Glen Albyn 1963 Connoisseurs Choice 19 Year Old, Sherry Cask, 1963, Gordon & MacPhail, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

82 / 100

The soft waxes and honey make the nose sound especially appealing, with bruised peach and vanilla bean adding interest. The palate sounds tasty but a little watery and underpowered compared with that promise, and the finish is short. A pleasing old-school character, though it loses some presence as it goes.
