A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

86 / 100

The cinnamon rolls and nutty brown bread on the nose give this a welcoming, bakery-led character, with a subtle hint of straw as a quieter detail. On the palate, spiced fruit buns heavy on nutmeg sit alongside maple syrup and peach Campino sweeties. I like how the spice has a clear place without having to carry the whole impression. Oily hops add a less sweet note, while the softly malty finish, with stone fruit and banana bread, sounds like a gentle close. For my taste, the appeal here lies in the contrast between familiar baked notes and those more distinctive touches. The age and strength are less interesting to me than that interplay.
