Glen Grant 38 Year Old, Amontillado Sherry Cask, 1949, Gordon & MacPhail, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

80 / 100

My tastes lean toward grain whisky, but the orange and baked apple sweetness here appeals to me. Coffee and dark chocolate add a quieter contrast, with spices following later. The light, watery start on the palate holds it back for me.
