There’s a playful sweet start here, with flying-saucer and crumpet notes alongside papaya, honey, and cereal. I like the turn on the palate: sinewy wood spice meets ripe citrus and dense rummy cake, giving the sweetness some shape rather than letting it sit in one lane. The lingering oak spice and fruit confectionery sound like a tidy close. It doesn’t lean into the coastal character I tend to gravitate toward, but that citrus-and-spice contrast makes this an appealing, characterful Speyside malt.
