Glenlochy Connoisseurs Choice 13 Year Old, 1974, Gordon & MacPhail, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

The finish has a nice little twist: dry oak and tannins alongside lingering fruit, lemon, pineapple and a hint of black pepper, then that surprising salty note. The treacly, fruity palate sounds pleasantly weighty, while the finish keeps things lively rather than simply sweet.
