Glenmorangie The Taghta, Bourbon & Manzanilla Sherry Cask, 2014, 46%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The appealing tension here is between the caramelised citrus and dried-fruit sweetness and the salty, briny turn on the palate. Toasty oak gives that contrast a grounded edge, while the finish stays rich with toffee, chocolate and dates. The SGD 86.13 price reference gives useful context, though the flavour interplay is the more persuasive point for me; this reads as a layered Highland single malt rather than a straightforward sweet pour.
