The Oloroso cask is a useful point of interest on this 12-year-old Belgian blended grain whisky. The notes describe a soft, sweet character, with cream and vanilla appearing on both the nose and palate. Malt adds a little contrast there, while the finish is described as long, fruity, sweet and tempered. That gives the whisky a clear, easy-to-follow shape. I like the cask detail, though the supplied character sounds more straightforward than layered. It is a balanced showing, without a strong contrast in the notes.
