The fruit and sweetness are the clearest threads here. Honey and dried fruit sit beside gentle floral plum on the nose, while the palate brings malt and grain sweetness into the same fruit theme. A soft, lightly fruity finish carries that balance through. The plum liqueur cask is worth noting, but the cask description alone does not say how much oak influence comes through. That leaves me a little less certain of the fit for my taste, since I tend to enjoy oak alongside sweeter flavours. Even so, the smooth palate and gentle fruit sound appealing together. The attraction here is that easy balance, rather than any oak character I can confidently point to.
