The most interesting contrast is the fresh menthol and herbal character against the richer fruit compote and polished wood. On the palate, syrup and grape bring warmth, while the notes also describe an alcohol-forward edge. That sounds like a distinctive, layered single malt rather than a soft, uncomplicated pour. The long finish, with mixed grape and polished wood, gives the fruit and oak character room to linger.
