Jack Daniel's Old Time No. 7, New Charred Oak Cask, 1985, 45%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

83 / 100

Caramel, vanilla and sweet corn give this Tennessee whiskey an easy sweetness, while charred oak and spice keep it from feeling one-note. The finish is described as dry and oaky, sometimes short and bitter, which tempers the appeal for me.
