Jance Distillery Double Oak, Bourbon Cask, 2024, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

85 / 100

Vanilla and caramel give this Australian blended malt an easy, sweet centre, while apple and pear keep the nose from feeling too cosy. Fresh citrus and a little ginger bring a brighter, gently warming turn on the palate. That balance sounds more inviting than heavy, and the described long, smooth finish is a nice counterpoint to the sweetness. The fruit-and-spice interplay is the clearest talking point here.
