I was mainly interested in the Port Ellen component here. While it's much lighter than my usual Islay favorites, the maritime notes and that distinct ashy finish are very well executed. The smoke is subtle but integrated nicely with the tropical fruit and salt. It’s a more refined, coastal experience than a typical heavy peater.
