The malt gives this a useful centre, while red fruit and port sweetness steer it toward a richer, sweeter style. Oak spice and clove add some counterweight, so the character is not simply fruit and sugar. I’m curious about the malt beneath that port-cask influence, though the notes offer little further grain detail. Still, the contrast between smooth malt and warming spice sounds appealing without needing to overstate its complexity.
