Kavalan’s ripe berries, dried fruit and grapes sit alongside citrus, with chocolate brownie and toffee adding a richer counterpoint. Cinnamon, clove, oak and rosemary give the nose a clear spicy edge. The palate carries through the dried-fruit character with caramel and honey sweetness, while the finish is described as balanced and lingering, with fruit, spice and citrus. As a Taiwanese single malt from Yilan, it has a distinct, well-defined identity.
