This reads as a firmly peated, savoury-leaning malt, with roasted vegetal character, brine and dark baked bread setting the tone. Apricot and peach bring some fruit, while wet pebbles and menthol offer a brighter, fresher counterpoint; that contrast is the part I find most appealing. The palate sounds rich and grassy-sweet, though the bonfire character carries through into a finish with a hint of tar. A distinctive, clearly described profile, but its smoky, vegetal weight would be a preference-led choice rather than an all-purpose dram.
