Gordon & Macphail Linkwood 15 Years, Sherry Cask, 2004, Gordon & MacPhail, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The sherry-led nose, with subtle floral and fruity notes, sets up a sweet, creamy palate. Brazil nut, dark red fruits and marzipan give it a rounded feel, while the citrus and woody spice add some lift. The long, warm finish brings drying lemon zest alongside walnuts and glowing embers of morning smoke. That mix feels inviting, with enough contrast to keep it from being simply sweet.
