there’s a fun shift here from flower-garden afternoon tea on the nose to a sharper, livelier palate: custard and raisin sweetness gives way to sherbet lemons and apple sours. The finish brings pepper, pickled ginger and citric peel, so it doesn’t stay in dessert territory. That sweet-to-spicy contrast is the draw for me; the citrus thread gives the whole character a bright edge without needing any coastal notes to make it interesting.
