The lemon and lime give this a bright thread of citrus, but it’s balanced by a more savoury, herbal side. Green tea, peppermint and bitter herbs make the palate sound quite brisk, while vanilla custard and old roses bring a softer touch on the nose. I like that contrast: the fruit is present without making the character seem simply sweet. The lingering mint and resinous notes suggest a restrained, persistent finish. A thoughtful, appealing direction for a fruit-leaning whisky, though the bitterness may take as much attention as the citrus.
