The contrast between floral honey and the dry, woody notes gives this a thoughtful kind of richness. Pepper and prickly mineral notes bring some edge to the palate, while lemon peel and candied ginger keep the finish lively. I’m drawn to that balance: sweet and warm, but not simply soft or sugary. It sounds like a characterful Speyside single malt, with enough bite to keep the sweeter notes in check.
