There’s a clearly described contrast here: earthy, mineral-driven peat smoke sits alongside creamy custard and toasted marshmallow, while white pepper and smoky lemon zest sharpen the palate. Orange oil and rich fruits add another layer, and the long finish turns toward sea salt, coffee beans, and chilli. My usual preference is for brighter, fresher styles, so this smoke-led character is not the direction I gravitate to most—but the interplay of creamy sweetness and savoury peat gives it real definition. The notes make this sound more layered than simply forceful.
