the dried fruit and toffee give this a warm, rounded centre, while candied citrus peel and ginger bring a brighter edge. i like that contrast more than a purely sweet direction. the palate stays in that lane with raisin, apricot and treacle toffee, then moves toward baked apple and warm oak. it sounds firmly shaped around fruit, spice and sweetness; a good fit for that balance, even if the notes offer little herbal character.
