MacLeod's Isle of Skye 21 Year Old, Oak Cask, Limited Batch Release, 2023, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

The sweet vanilla biscuits and banana give this blend an easy warmth, while pepper and a whisper of peat keep it from feeling one-note. The lingering gentle smoke sounds especially appealing; there’s plenty here, but it still reads as measured rather than showy.
