there’s a pleasing thread of peat smoke and chocolate here, with honey and vanilla adding a softer counterpoint. the palate brings earthier peat and pepper, then the finish turns ashier and spicy with cocoa lingering. at 48% ABV, it has a clear, useful strength reference without that number alone telling us how intense it will feel. the 21-year age and blended malt style make this an appealingly layered combination on paper.
