Caramel and vanilla give this a familiar, welcoming centre, with oak and bourbon spice adding a firmer edge. The smooth, full-flavoured palate sounds especially appealing, while the long, dry finish keeps it from feeling too soft. I like that balance: easy to picture in a straightforward bourbon style, but with enough lingering oak and spice to hold interest without losing its ease.
