Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey, New American White Oak Cask, Batch No. 17J1, 43%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

The notes give a clear sense of the contrast here: sweet caramel and corn move into rye spice, with vanilla carrying through to the finish. I like that the character is described distinctly, though the hotter peppery finish and dryness make it less purely gentle.
