Midleton Very Rare, Bourbon Cask, 2018, 40%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The ripe orchard fruit alongside sweet vanilla sounds like a friendly, approachable combination, while the pot still spices add a little more character. The notes suggest a nicely balanced Irish whiskey, with oak and spice carrying through to the finish.
