Millstone 25 Year Old, Sherry Cask, Batch No. 5, 1996, That Boutique-y Whisky Company, 46.5%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

I usually lean toward peat, but the dark-fruit and bitter-chocolate balance here has its own appeal. Coffee grounds give the palate another edge, while cherry liqueur and cocoa carry through the finish. A rich sherried whisky that holds my interest even outside my usual lane.
