Pappy Van Winkle Van Winkle 12 Year Old, New Charred Oak Cask, Lot No. B, 2025, 45.2%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

84 / 100

Rich oak and sweet red fruit give this bourbon a warm center, while orange peel brings a sharper edge. The dry, tannic finish and sometimes borderline-bitter oak sound like a real counterweight; I’d prefer the fruit to stay in front.
