Parker's Heritage Collection 1st Edition Cask Strength 2007, Bourbon Cask, 11 Year Old, 63.7%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

90 / 100

There’s a pleasing balance here between the rich sweetness and the more savoury tobacco and dusty corn. Brown butter, vanilla and molasses on the nose give way to summer fruit and exotic spice on the palate, while the long, warming finish sounds composed rather than simply forceful. That mix of sweetness and spice gives this cask-strength bourbon character without relying on age or strength alone to make the case.
